AVP - FCS People Leader

This AVP-level people leadership role sits within the Financial Crime Operations team, focused on managing day-to-day operations across financial crime processes including payments and sanctions screening, adverse media screening, and AML-related workflows. You will be responsible for building and maintaining an effective operational risk control environment, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The role involves leading and coaching a team of operational professionals, managing attrition through retention initiatives in partnership with HR, and ensuring compliance with Barclays Group Sanctions Policy and regulatory obligations. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders including business leaders, project managers, and external vendors to ensure SLA adherence and operational alignment. Creating a safe and open team culture where feedback is encouraged is a core leadership expectation of this role.
