Senior Apache Iceberg Developer
As a Senior Apache Iceberg Developer, you will design and enhance Apache Iceberg table implementations and integrations while architecting scalable lakehouse solutions on object stores such as S3, ADLS, GCS, and HDFS. You will implement and optimize metadata handling, schema and partition evolution, and time travel features. A core part of the role involves improving query performance across engines like Spark, Flink, Trino, and Presto, and contributing to Apache Iceberg open-source development. You will analyze query execution plans and optimize read/write paths, collaborate on best practices for data ingestion, governance, and lifecycle management. Additionally, you will lead technical design discussions, resolve complex production issues, mentor engineers, and conduct code reviews. This is a senior-level position requiring 12+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in distributed computing and big data ecosystems.
