Senior Engineering Manager
As a Senior Engineering Manager at IBM, you will lead a strategic transformation initiative focused on hybrid cloud adoption, AI-enabled engineering, and z/OS tool migration. You will guide high-performing engineering teams of 20+ engineers, drive technical strategy, and partner closely with stakeholders across architecture, product, and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include leading the delivery of complex engineering initiatives using Agile or hybrid methodologies, driving modernization across hybrid cloud, mainframe (z/OS) tool migration, DevOps automation, and AI-driven engineering practices. You will shape and present technical architecture, migration strategies, and cloud integration patterns to both engineering and executive audiences. The role requires providing strategic direction on AI and Agentic AI technologies, establishing engineering governance covering security, compliance, coding standards, and DevOps practices. You will evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept assessments, champion continuous improvement through automation-first engineering, and mentor and develop engineering talent while fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture.
