Application Developer-Application Modernization
As an Application Developer specializing in Application Modernization, you will transform legacy applications into modern, scalable, and cloud-ready solutions that align with architectural standards and business objectives. This is a hands-on development role using contemporary technologies and frameworks.
Your core responsibilities include developing and refactoring applications using modern programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, and JavaScript. You will implement microservices architectures and containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, enabling seamless integration across systems. Integrating applications with major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud to support scalability and modernization is a key aspect of the role.
You will apply DevOps practices and tooling to support continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring for efficient solution delivery. Collaboration with architects and consultants to execute modernization strategies and ensure technical feasibility is expected. Experience with database solution design, RESTful API development, and familiarity with generative AI capabilities and legacy code migration (e.g., COBOL, RPG, C++) are valued.
