Quality Engineer-Functional
As a Quality Engineer/Functional Tester, you will collaborate with client and internal stakeholders to identify various business controls and ensure their successful implementation. You will be working on microservices and Databricks-based applications in the telecom domain, specifically supporting BGW IOT projects and production environments.
Your key responsibilities include analyzing test specifications and converting them into manual and automated test cases, identifying initial setup requirements, input data, appropriate steps, and expected outcomes. You will conduct sanity testing of applications based on user requirements and write test cases aligned with user stories.
You will perform API testing using tools like POSTMAN and SOAP-UI, as well as ELT testing with Databricks and MySQL. Managing test execution, data, and defects using Agile tools such as JIRA, ADO, and iTrack is a core part of the role. You will also handle production support activities, particularly around reporting systems, and leverage Kubernetes for log and data validation and analysis.
Experience in the telecom domain and billing systems is essential. Familiarity with automation testing using TOSCA and writing complex SQL queries is preferred. You will also support and coordinate testing activities across onshore and offshore teams.
