Salesforce is seeking a Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) for the Database Kernel team based in Hyderabad. This role focuses on designing and developing features in core RDBMS technology at massive scale. You will work closely with your lead engineer on all aspects of Agile processes and collaborate with the scrum team on relational database development, building complex features with the scalability and performance needed to match the rapid growth of the Salesforce platform.
Key responsibilities include driving the design and delivery of medium-to-complex features independently, serving as a subject-matter expert in your area, and managing feature complexity through backlog planning, cross-team dependency planning, and successful execution. You will own design decisions while ensuring quality and security standards are met, contribute to analysis, design, test, and code reviews across different scrum teams, and set and improve engineering best practices around tooling, instrumentation, telemetry, and playbooks.
You will also be responsible for timely resolution of customer issues with utmost urgency, adhering to customer trust principles. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software development experience including strong database internals background, experience with RDBMS technology, and a passion for building highly scalable, mission-critical enterprise products with continuous innovation.
