Data Analyst
Join Barclays as a Data Analyst where you will build analytical tools to generate insights, recognize patterns, and predict behavior while delivering content to users of information products. You will work alongside technical teams, architects, designers, and administrators to tackle technical challenges.
Key responsibilities include investigating and analyzing data quality issues, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, as well as documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with improvement recommendations. You will design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing, and apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations.
You will develop validated logical data models, translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational improvements, and leverage machine learning and AI where appropriate. Additionally, you will design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports, automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs, and collaborate closely with analytics, BI, and product teams.
The ideal candidate possesses expert-level SQL skills including query optimization and performance tuning, hands-on experience with lakehouse platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, and deep familiarity with cloud platforms especially AWS. Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling, SCD types), data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks is essential.
