Director – Head of BUK India Compliance ⭐ Featured
As the Head of BUK India Compliance at the Director level, you will lead the BUK Compliance team based in India, aligned to UK-based Compliance teams. You will be a key member of the BUK Compliance Leadership Team and work collaboratively with Directors and Managing Directors to build and manage centres of excellence for compliance activities.
Your primary responsibilities include collaborating with BUK Compliance leadership to identify activities that can be supported from India, managing their setup and delivery. You will provide subject matter expertise on UK retail banking products, the regulatory environment including Consumer Duty, and the Barclays Compliance Risk Framework. Training, educating, and supporting BUK India Compliance colleagues will be central to your role.
You will manage stakeholder relationships with BUK Compliance MDs and Directors to ensure effective matrix management of the India-based team. On behalf of BUK Compliance leadership, you will undertake business oversight accountabilities, provide effective check and challenge to the business, and offer thought leadership on the continued embedding of the Business Oversight Compliance Target Operating Model.
The role requires extensive judgment and analytical skills to navigate a complex regulatory landscape, analyze management information, and make sound decisions across a wide range of regulations. As a member of the Compliance India leadership team, you will also support the growth and value proposition of the India hub.
