As an Infra Lead at Barclays, you will spearhead the delivery of the technology stack for Wholesale Onboarding and Group FCO, using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business requirements and deliver quality infrastructure solutions. You will work on complex technical problems involving detailed analysis in conjunction with fellow engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
You will be responsible for infrastructure build and lifecycle management with strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments and scripting using Shell and PowerShell. The role requires hands-on experience with application servers, preferably JWS Tomcat and Spring Boot framework, along with security protocols such as TLS and configuration settings.
You will work with infrastructure configuration management tools (preferably Chef), monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and ESaaS, relational databases (preferably Oracle DB Server), and messaging technologies (preferably Kafka). Experience with Docker for containerization, deployment on IBM OpenShift Container Platform, and GitLab for developing CI/CD pipelines is expected.
Additional valued skills include familiarity with Veracode and SonarQube for code quality and security scanning, experience setting up search engines like Solr, and understanding of networking concepts and firewall configurations. You will also be responsible for incident management, automation, and ensuring reliability, availability, and scalability of systems.
