Engineer- JAVA Fullstack
Join Barclays as a Java Full Stack Engineer within the Customer Digital and Data division. In this role, you will drive the evolution of digital products by building end-to-end solutions spanning backend services and frontend interfaces. You will develop robust backend systems using Java 17/21 with Spring Boot and Spring Security, while also building responsive user interfaces with React and JavaScript.
Your responsibilities include designing and implementing RESTful services, working with relational databases like SQL Server and Oracle, and ensuring code quality through comprehensive testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and component testing tools such as Karate and React Testing Library. You will use observability tools like Elastic and Kibana for monitoring and debugging production systems.
As an AVP-level contributor, you will advise and influence technical decision-making, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. You are expected to mentor team members, lead code reviews, and champion engineering best practices. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies is highly valued. This is a permanent role based in Pune.
