Business Analyst
As a Business Analyst at Barclays within Global Payment Services, you will drive change and transformation initiatives by identifying business requirements and proposing solutions that address complex payment-related challenges. You will work across payment schemes such as FED/CHIPS (USA), CHAPS (UK), and TARGET2 (EU), with a thorough understanding of end-to-end payment flows.
Your key responsibilities include managing complex business requirements, reviewing solutions, and maintaining documentation such as HLS, IRD, IDD, and FRSD. You will provide detailed requirement writing, conduct walkthroughs, and offer functional support to the team. You will also conduct feasibility studies, support business case creation, and contribute to operational and process design.
The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs, supporting change management activities including traceability matrix development, and reporting on project progress. Awareness of industry and regulatory changes impacting payments is essential, along with the ability to propose solutions within the payments architecture including microservices.
Desirable skills include experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Rally, understanding of ISO message formats, exposure to cloud platforms (AWS), containerization tools, and knowledge of payment applications such as GPP (Global Pay Plus). The position is at Assistant Vice President level, involving advisory and decision-making responsibilities.
