Operations Analyst - MEGA
As an Operations Analyst in the MEGA team at Barclays within Trade and Working Capital, you will manage reconciliation and financial reporting for Corporate Banking Operations while ensuring strong governance and control adherence. You will ensure reconciliation and financial reporting controls are followed in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities include preparing and circulating various MIS reports to stakeholders and proactively following up for timely resolution of outstanding items. You will ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy across all deliverables. A significant part of the role involves supporting technology enhancements and core banking system upgrades, including system parameterization verification, functional specification document review, UAT preparation and execution monitoring, user training, process manual updates, and live proving support.
You will provide ongoing support to local and group stakeholders, escalate issues for effective resolution, and engage with internal and external auditors and regulators as required. The role demands strong understanding of reconciliation frameworks and financial reporting controls within banking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines.
Candidates should ideally hold a Commerce, Finance, or Accounts degree with strong accounting knowledge, sound understanding of banking processes and applications, and working proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Prior exposure to reconciliation governance and financial reporting within banking is preferred.
