Senior Full Stack Developer
As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Barclays, you will support the successful delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, and agreed quality and governance standards while driving innovation in the digital landscape. You will design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. The role requires strong expertise in Java 17/21 with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security on the back-end, along with React and JavaScript on the front-end. You will design and implement RESTful services and work with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle. Proficiency in build tools like Maven or Gradle is expected, along with comprehensive testing using JUnit, Mockito, Pi Test, Karate Wiremock, and React Test Library. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. The role involves participating in code reviews, promoting code quality and knowledge sharing, adhering to secure coding practices, and leveraging observability tools like Elastic/Kibana for debugging. Experience with GitLab/Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Jenkins pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodology is highly valued. You will lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees while contributing to policy development.
