AI Engineering Manager
As an AI Engineering Manager at Barclays, you will lead the evolution of AI infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure for seamless delivery of digital AI solutions. The role requires a strong background in AI/ML concepts and architectures, including deploying machine learning models in production, with familiarity in autonomous agents, generative AI technologies, LLMs, multi-agent systems, and AI orchestration frameworks. You will guide your team in leveraging AWS cloud services for AI workloads including model training, data storage (S3), computing (EC2, Lambda, Kubernetes/EKS), and ML operations (SageMaker or similar) while ensuring security and cost-effectiveness. Proficiency in Python or Java is required for reviewing code across ML pipelines and enterprise integrations. You will oversee integration of AI systems into existing platforms, manage data engineering pipelines, and ensure compliance with security requirements when handling sensitive financial data. The role involves leading and mentoring engineering teams, coordinating tasks, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Data Science, Compliance, and Business Units to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
