Service Engineer
As a Service Engineer at Barclays, you will build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Your responsibilities include administrating Microsoft Azure and M365 platform services, managing large-scale email platforms, and handling message hygiene concepts such as SPF, DMARC, and DKIM. You will monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages, using data to drive down mean time to resolution. The role requires developing and implementing automated tasks using PowerShell scripting, SQL queries, and KQL queries to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. You will implement secure configurations to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks and collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions. Experience with messaging products like Proofpoint, MDO, MDE, and Exchange Hybrid Mode is expected, along with a solid understanding of AD group and access management, Security & Compliance centre, and Azure Graph API.
