Technical Delivery Manager
As a Technical Delivery Manager within Global Payment Services at Barclays, you will own end-to-end delivery of payments and banking technology initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery assurance, preferably within payment messaging domains.
You will manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint execution. Your responsibilities include schedule management, financials tracking, dependency management, RAID ownership, executive reporting, and senior stakeholder communication.
You will work closely with engineering, architecture, operations, business, and vendor teams to deliver complex, cross-functional technical change. A strong understanding of payment flows, SWIFT messages, clearing and settlement, and financial messaging lifecycles (MT / ISO 20022) is highly valued.
The role requires operating within regulated environments with a strong focus on risk management, controls, audit readiness, and compliance with enterprise change frameworks. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects and manage change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience delivering large-scale platform upgrades, migrations, or transformation programs is desirable. Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models within enterprise technology environments is expected, along with the ability to translate complex technical delivery into clear business outcomes.
