Lead Java Backend Engineer - Vice President
As a Lead Java Backend Engineer at the Vice President level within Corporate Digital Banking, you will spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will build and manage robust, scalable, and secure backend infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery of digital banking solutions.
You will lead engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while overseeing timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and task prioritization to deliver solutions within scope, time, and budget. A key part of the role involves mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and identifying growth opportunities.
The position requires expert-level proficiency in Java 17+, Microservices architecture, Micro Frontend patterns, Angular 15+, Oracle 19c+, and event-driven messaging platforms such as Kafka. You will collaborate with business partners, product managers, and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Evaluating and enhancing engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize team productivity is also expected. Experience with AI tools, Python, and AWS or other cloud platforms is highly valued.
