Senior Director - Enterprise Data Architect
As a Senior Director-level Enterprise Data Architect, you will define and implement the comprehensive architecture for Cognizant's AI Training Data Service (AITDS) platform. This hands-on leadership role demands strong technical expertise in data platforms, AI/ML lifecycle, and multi-cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready.
Your core responsibilities include designing the AITDS platform architecture encompassing data ingestion, profiling, annotation, validation, governance, and deployment workflows. You will build modular, API-driven components and select and integrate cloud services from AWS (S3, Glue, SageMaker, Redshift), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Cognitive Services), and GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow), optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability.
You will provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering teams implementing solutions with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), microservices, and serverless technologies, while defining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. The role requires architecting high-quality training data generation and validation solutions for AI/ML models, ensuring data governance, privacy, and ethical AI compliance. You will also evaluate and select new tools and partners, make strategic build vs. buy decisions, and drive innovation through synthetic data generation and AI-driven quality checks.
